Zackary Collin Yancey, age 32 of Empire was born on April 14, 1993 and departed this earth on Friday, October 24, 2025. He was a loved husband, father, son, brother, and friend.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Annette Hardin Yancey; uncle, Glen Yancey, Sr.; and aunt Myra Jo Yancey.

Survivors include his wife of seven years, Lucy Johnson Yancey of Empire; children, Aaron Yancey and Kaylee Yancey of Empire; father, Kenneth Yancey of Empire; sister, Kelsey (Shaun) Owen of Ashville; nieces, Amalie, Rylee, and Ronnie Owen of Ashville; grandparents, Katie and James Price; father-in-law, Bo Roach; mother-in-law, Rebecca Johnson; sister-in-law, Caitlin (Fabian) Gouge; nephew, Kane Gouge; brothers-in-law, Kyle Roach and Lane Wright; aunt, Katie Mallory; special friends, Kyle Walters and Trey Hyche; and a host of other family and friends, all of Walker County.

A memorial service will be held at Bell Funeral Home Sumiton Chapel on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 2:00pm, visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, Ron Green will officiate.
