Mrs. Willie Mae Byars "Cousie", age 74, of Empire passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at her residence.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 26, 2021 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Dilworth Cemetery.  Ronnie Thompson and Randall Busby will officiate.  Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.  Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie "Bill" Clark and Annie Mae Clark; grandson, David Cody Buzbee; and brother, L.C. "Punk" Clark.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Robert Byars; sons, Randell Buzbee (Linda), David Buzbee (Angie) and Colton Lesley (Selina); daughters, LaBresca Cornwell (Keith), Kayla Hardin and Sadie Byars; 22 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; special friends, Doris Moncrief and Betty Owens; brothers, Rab Clark and Rev. Ronnie Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends.
