William Clyde Howton, age 82 of Dora passed away August 11, 2019 at his residence.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Shanghi Cemetery.  Rev. Ted Johnson and John Pinion will be officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service.  Bell Sumiton Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Clyde was a member of Sumiton First Baptist Church and he loved his church family greatly.  He was also a member of Brooklyn Lodge 704.  Preceding him in death were his sons, Clyde Junior and Gordon Howton.

His survivors include his wife of 31 years, Tommie Jean Howton of Dora; daughter, JoAnn Collier of Curry; sons, Jamie Levan (Michelle) of Dora and Chris Levan (Tammy) of Blountsville; grandsons, Justin, Matthew and Cody Levan, Adam and Brandon Howton, Jeff Denard, James Collier and Jason Taylor; granddaughters, Karlie Levan and Nicole Collier; brother, Earl Howton of San Antonio, TX; grand girls, Novella Roberts, Becca Sullins, Surraya Sweeney, and Emma Phillips; and special neighbors,  Kasey, Aleigha , and Jemma Swindle.
