William Earl Gray, age 76 of Winfield, Al passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Grandview Hospital in Birmingham, Al. Graveside service will be held at White Springs Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 03, 2025 at 12:30 pm. 11701 Co Rd 49, Winfield, AL 35594

Born February 20, 1949 in Winfield, Al to William Carlos "Willie" and Dessie Mae Gillum Gray of the Bluff Community. He was a 1969 graduate of Winfield High School. William worked several jobs including the railroad and for the county building roads before finding his true career of operating heavy equipment most of his life. He enjoyed fooling with his chickens, going to car races and watching Gun Smoke. William loved and took great pride in his family.

He is proceeded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gail Mayfield Gray, daughter; Gina Gray Vanderpool (Ed) and son; Jonathan (Stephanie) Gray, grandchildren; Carl Gray (Mackensley), Seirra Gray (Justin), Kaleb Watts (Haley) and Courtney Jarrett (Dillon), sister; Doris Gray, brothers; Walter Gray (Marie) and Charelie Gray and a special friend of the family Jean Henderson.

Daddy was a good worker and provider for his family ad he will be missed terribly.
