Mr. Wallace Wilkin Morgan, age 85, of Alpine passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at UAB Hospital. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Brasfield Cemetery. Bro. Barry Lumbard will officiate. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 PM at Bell Sumiton Chapel. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Morgan was a Senior Chief Petty Officer in United States Navy, and he served from 1953 to 1973 before retiring. A Communication Specialist, he served two tours in Vietnam, and deployed on air craft carriers.  After retiring from the Navy, Wallace was a long haul truck driver with over 2 million miles of accident free driving, which he won numerous awards for.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elaine Morgan; father, Henry Clay Morgan; mother, Christine Morgan; and brother, Henry Clay II.

He is survived by his son, Doug Stone (Paige); daughters, Lisa Darnell, Lynn Morgan, Darlene Sandlin, Debra Hand and Donna Morgan; grandchildren, Payton Miller, Sydney Stone and Zonia Darnell; sisters, Patricia Parrish, Susie Nichols, Sarah Reid, Rhonda Dollar, Karla Butler and Karma Morgan; brother, Dennis Morgan; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
