Mrs. Virginia Lee Boshell, age 75, of Empire passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021 at UAB Hospital.  Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Bell Sumiton Chapel.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services.  Graveside services will follow at 5:00 PM at Pinetucky Baptist Church Cemetery in Winston County.  Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Gene Boshell; parents, Dallas and Ruby Curtis; and siblings, Doyle Curtis, Earl Curtis and Preston Curtis.

She is survived by her son, Gene Boshell (Troy Roberts); daughter, Libby Boshell Weaver (Travis); grandchildren, Will Boshell and Brady Weaver; sisters, Lynda Messer (Jimmy) and Joyce Chambers; and brothers Joel Curtis (Kathy) and Thomas Curtis (Wanda)

She is also survived by her cherished neighbors of more than fifty years, Shirley Taylor and Shelley Rouse.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Jimmie Hale Mission.
