Mrs. Vernie Jean Thompson, age 76, of Cordova died Tuesday, January 31,2023 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.

She is preceding in death by her hus b and Gary Thompson; her parents Mary Boie Laird and William Jean; and brothers Pete and Richard Jean.

She is survived by her children Tracy Houseworth (Brandon), Tina Daugherty, and Danny Thompson; beloved grandchildren , Jessica Ferguson (Clifton), Tiffany Kulick (Logan), Benjamin Wakefield (Tessa), Dayton Wakefield (Sarah), Tabitha Gills (Fabien), Tim Daugherty (Anna), Alexis Thompson, D.J. Thompson, Kasey Martin (Markice), Cody Martin and TJ Martin; her sisters Faye Sanders, Ann Westbrook and Shirley Bell; and a host of great grandchildren .

Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 04, 2023 at 1:00pm. In the Bell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Odom Memorial in Parrish, AL. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
