Mrs. Sarah Bentley, age 92, of Jemison passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at her residence.  Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 17, 2021 at Shanghi Cemetery.  Bro. Hollis Alexander will officiate.  Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.A. Bentley, Sr.; parents, Thomas and Naomi Adams; and siblings, Mary Francis Bennett, Jane Watson, Madge Champion, George Adams and Robert Adams.

She is survived by her daughters, Kay Allen and Ann Compton (Rick); grandsons, Greg Compton (Cindy) and Owen Compton (Angela); great grandchildren, Bailey Compton, Delaney Compton and Julian Compton; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will like to offer special thanks to Comfort Care Hospice staff, Elaine Whiteside, Cathy Saviski, Leigh Tucker, Bryant Culpepper and Dr. Thayer Moore.  Also, special thanks to Benita Bowen for her love and support.
