Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" Roberts, age 72, of Empire passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at her residence.  Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with a private family burial at a later time.  Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.  Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Preceding her in death were her mother, Caroline Giranio; father, William Moretto; husband, Sammy Layton Roberts; son, Lester Eugene Roberts; brother, Brent Moretto; and daughter-in-law, Stacy Roberts.

Survivors include her son, Michael Roberts (Ginny); daughters, Samantha Humber (Roy), Annie Roberts (Jonathan) and Melissa Russell (Kyle); grandchildren, Brittany Roberts, Rodney Roberts (Hannah), Logan Roberts (Challin), Garrett Roberts (Mercedes), Drake Roberts, Ava Phillips, Adkin Humber, Kensley Frye, Ahnna Harding, Gracie and Nikolas Humber, Raelynn Aaron and Courtney Harding; great grandchildren, Layla and Layton Roberts, Layken, Madden and Gavin Roberts, and Dekker, Asher and baby Mila Roberts; sister/niece, Diane Firestone; nieces, Bonita Bussey, Diane Sullivan and Carol Jean; sisters, Karen Chapman, Barbara Westlund (Bob) and Pat Marz (Gerald); brother, Bill Moretto; and a host of special nieces and nephews and loved ones.
