Patricia Rice Higginbotham, born November 14, 1949, passed away on July 17, 2024. She loved sewing and was particularly fond of making her daughters' wedding dresses. Patricia also enjoyed cooking, knitting, and had a passion for reading. Her favorite color was mauve,  she adored roses, also a compassionate nurse who dedicated herself to taking care of others.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Cindy Underwood (Jimmy), Cheryl Quinn (Tommy), Jamie Thompson, grandchildren: Derrick DeFoor, Jessica Anderson, Kaila Chance, Andrew DeFoor, Kourtney Kiker, Nicole Whisenhunt, Dylan Prestley, Emily Nealey, Mackenzie Harris, Hunter Thompson, J.R. Thompson, Taylor Thompson, Westley Quinn, Alayna Cupps, and a multitude of great-grandchildren . Also the most special sister in law Brenda Freeman Polzin (Aunt "BB").

She is also survived by her dear brother William Rice (June), sister France Rice Mason, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who were all touched by her warmth and kindness.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Gregory Paul Higginbotham,  parents William Percy Rice and Ivalee Butler Rice (Polly), her baby brother Rice, and her beloved daughter Vicky Lynn Rouse.

A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Bell Sumiton Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Following the service, Patricia will be laid to rest at McCormack Cemetery.
