Mildred Mckinney's Obituary
Mildred Lorene Horton McKinney, born July 3, 1928, in Eolin, AL, passed away at home February 28, 2022. She is survived by daughter Teresa Scharlane McKinney; grandson Jason Dale McGuire; son Lloyd Clayton McKinney; step-granddaughter Sonja Roddam Thomas; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pet and Mary Horton of Greenpond, AL, husband Cecil Otis McKinney, son Mabron Cecil McKinney, granddaughter Ashley McKinney; brothers Marvin Horton, Melvin Horton, Benny Horton; sister Eileen Elam; sister-in-law Lahoma McKinney Brown.
Mildred was a member and attended Bethel Baptist Church. Most of her adult working career was as a Unit Clerk (25 years) for Carraway Hospital. She was an artist and had a passion for art and painting.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the graveside in New Horizon Memorial Gardens (5203 Hollis Goodwin Road Dora, AL). Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Bell Funeral Home (510 Main Street Sumiton, AL 35148)
