Marzell Andrew, (better known as Andy Phillips), passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Phillips was born March 4, 1937 to the late Andrew Jackson and Era Mae Putman Phillips.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Charlette Phillips, a daughter; Debbie Ritch, a grandson; Daniel Hodges, and his sisters; Betty Cranford (and her husband William) and Kay Dooley.

He is survived by three children; Darlene Davis, Victor Phillips, and Sandy Phillips, brother in-law; Rusty Dooley; numerous grand and great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 5, at 12:00pm from the Chapel of Bell Funeral Home Sumiton with Rusty Dooley officiating. Burial will follow at McCormack Cemetery and the visitation will be Saturday at 11:00am.
