Mrs. Mary Phillips Wallace, age 75, of Sipsey, passed away Tuesday, September 27, at her residence. Mary was born June 29, 1947 to the late John B. and Gertrude White Phillips.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Eric Wallace; brothers and sisters, John Bradford Phillips, Jr., Lillian Heard, Mark Phillips, and Stanley Phillips.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Wallace; two children, Terral Keith Wallace and his wife Cynthia, and Cathy Wallace Stephenson; eight grandchildren, Ashley Cagle, Landon Stephenson, Christopher Stephenson, Courtney Wallace, Miranda Wallace, Kyle Wallace, Gavin Wallace, and Madison Hill; two great grandchildren, Carrigan Wallace and Logan Cagle; a brother, Robert Phillips; her best friends, Libby Wallace Freeman and Ginnie Akers; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, at 2:00 PM from the Bell Sumiton Chapel. Burial will follow in Rice Chapel Cemetery with Christopher Stephenson officiating. Visitation will be Friday, at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
