Mr. Lewis B. Goode, age 94, of Bessemer (formerly of Quinton) passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at UAB Medical West.  Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, July 31, 2021  at Shanghi Cemetery.  Bro. John Clutter and Bro. Tim Saylor will officiate.  Visitation will begin 11:30 AM Saturday at Bell Sumiton Chapel.  Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Goode was born on December 18, 1926.  He was called to preach in 1952 and served several local churches as pastor since that time.  He loved the Lord with his whole heart and loved to spread the gospel with anyone he came in contact with.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Mildred Goode; father, Dan Goode; mother, Virginia Goode; all his brothers and sisters; and his son-in-law, Wayne Quinn.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Goode; son, Daniel Goode (Barbara); daughter, Cathy Quinn; son, Mark Goode (Carla); daughter, Martha Patterson (Scott); step daughter, Nina Hicks (David); stepson, Tim Myers (Karen); stepson, Mark Tomberlin (Kim); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
