Mrs. Leila Rouse Meadows, age 37, of Empire passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Walker Baptist Medical Center.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 26, 2020 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial at Empire Memorial Gardens.  Lewis Smith will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service.  Bell Sumiton Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Leila had been suffering and enduring such great pain from Stage 4 cancer.  She was a graduate of Dora High School.  She was a devoted and loving wife and mother.  She attended Dora Church of God and loved the people.  She also loved the people from The Owens Chapel Church of God in Empire.

Preceding her in death were her grandfather, Milton A. Rouse; grandparents, J.C. and Mary Raynor; so many of her dear aunts and uncles; niece, Faithlynn; and mother-in-law, Charly Pearl Meadows.

Survivors include her loving husband, Vernon Meadows; children, Ethan, Ella, Elijah, Evan and Eleah Meadows, all of Empire; father, George Rouse Sr.; brothers, George Rouse Jr. and Billy Rouse; sister, Mary Lanell Brand (Danny); mother and step-father, Wanda and Larry Wells; grandmother, Ila Mae Rouse; father-in-law, Bob Meadows; loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Austin, Kristin, Zacresta, Aleese and Jamarcus Meadows; and brother and sister-in-laws she loved and who loved her.
