Joyce Ann Barton, age 72 of Sumiton passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Brookwood Medical Center.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Faith Worship Center with burial at Morgan Cemetery. Rev. Billy Barton will officiate.  Visitation will be 12:00 PM till 1:00 PM Wednesday at the church.

Preceding her in death were parents, Grace and Bart Payne; son, Terrell Ray Barton; and sister, Peggy Jean Thomas.

Survivors include her husband, Casey Barton; daughters, Patti Ann Barton and Laura Jane King; sons, Brian Keith Barton, and his wife, Bobbie; grandchildren, Kasie Sloan (Ashley), Amanda Toon (Carl), Tabitha Long (Chris), Kenneth Bowen, Garrett Bowen, Joseph King, Holly King, William King, Aleesha Huff, Kimberly Herron, Emily Ford, Terrell Barton, Sawyer Barton, Xander Barton, Jase Barton, and Kaleb Smith; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and brother, Doug Payne, and his wife, Sheila.
