Johnny W. Harper, age 77 of Jasper, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Harper was born August 27, 1946 to the late William Edgar and Sylvia Lucille Harper. He served his country honorably for 35 years in the United States Air Force.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Robert David Harper.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Colburn Harper; children, Tracey Harper Sharp, Rachel Bailey and her husband Tim, and Ryan Elliott and his wife Shelby; siblings, Billy Harper, Danny Harper, Diane Harper Portzer, and Anita Harper Madison; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
