Johnny Ray Allen, age 67, of Empire passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at his residence. A graveside service will be held at a later date at New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery in Empire . Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Idell Allen; father, Floyd Allen; brother, Jimmy C. Allen; and ex-wife, Janet Roberts Allen.

He is survived by his son, Billy Ray Allen; daughter, Jessica Lynn Allen Franklin; granddaughter, Ainslie Allen; grandson, Colton Franklin; sisters, Judy Page and Brenda Veseleny (Keith); brothers, Jerry Wayne Allen (Martha), Billy Jack Allen and Gordon Allen (Carolyn); significant other, Kristina Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
