J.L. Cooley, age 90 of Dora, AL. passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025. Funeral service will be held at Bell Sumiton Chapel on Monday, October 13, 2025 at 11:00am, visitation 10:00am till time of service at 11:00am,  burial to follow at Good Hope Cemetery. Bro. Sammie Reed and Bro. Jacob Elliott will be officiating the service.

J.L. is preceded in death by his parents; A.L. and Eva Cooley of Bagley, Winter Rose Cooley of Dunavant, Mckenzie Claire Blalock of Hayden.

He is survived by his wife; Joyce Cooley of Bagley, children; Lynne Barton (David) of Corner, Peggy Parker (Rodney) of Corner, Leigh Ann Burton (Ronnie) of Corner, Daniel Cooley (Carrie) of Chelsea and Laura Cooley (Dale) of Dunavant, 11 grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren, sister; Lucille Cooley of Bagley.
