Rev. Jimmy Ray Davis, age 73, of Jasper passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at UAB Hospital.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 26, 2021 at Grace Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  C. W. Box and Dewayne West will officiate.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service.  Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Esthur Mullinax Davis; father, Grady Davis; and siblings, McRae Davis, James Davis, Bill Davis, Hollis Davis, Louise Guyton and Maggie Short.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Kay South Davis; daughters, Shelly Renae Davis Hicks (Ken) and Sonya Lynn Davis Sherer (Matthew); grandchildren, Nathaniel Ray Hicks (Amy), Ashleigh Danielle Hicks Rouse (Derrick), Marcus Barnett, Faith Augusta Sherer and Hope Elizabeth Sherer; great grandchildren, Audrey Claire Hicks, Colton Ray Hicks and Ada Scarlett Hicks; siblings, Truman Davis (Marcella), Gary Davis (Vera), Red Davis (Helen), Joe Davis (Barbara), Caroline Borden (Jack) and Faye Jones (T.L.).
