Mrs. Gayle Wood, age 79, of Jasper passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at her residence. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2022 at East Dora Cemetery. Pastor Gene Tinker will officiate. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Peffer; father, Samuel Peffer; sisters, Joe Castleberry and Sammie Jenson; and husband, Alden Wood.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Pittman (Mitchell) of Jasper, AL; sons, Rusty Wood (Cathy) of Corner, AL and Scott Wood (Debra) of Rocky Hollow, AL; grandsons, Chase Pittman of Jasper, AL, Aiden Pittman of Jasper, AL and Alex Wood of Corner, AL; granddaughter, Melanie Pittman of Jasper, AL; sister, Raye Cupps (Myron) of Empire, AL; brother-in-law, Robbie Jenson of Sipsey, AL; sister-in-law, Betty Moody of Anniston, AL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
