Jerry Thomas Colburn, age 74 of Sumiton, passed away Friday, March 15th, at his residence. Mr. Colburn was born November 1, 1949 to the late James Wilburn and Flora Birmingham Colburn. Having spent his working life as a Baptist Preacher, he wanted to be remembered as a simple, Godly man.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Terry Edward Colburn; and his sister Helen Colburn.

Jerry is survived by his brothers, Charles Colburn, Ray Colburn, Johnny Colburn, Bobby Colburn, and Roger Colburn; his sister, Jackie Colburn Harper; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 19th, at 2:00 PM  from the graveside at Rice's Chapel Cemetery with Ted Johnson officiating.
