Jennie Ruth Cox, age 79, of Arley, Alabama, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Ms. Cox is survived by her children: Jimbo Cox (Holly), Mike Barton (Sandy), and Michell Porter (Brad).
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Montana Langley (Kaysen), Landon Talley (Sevanna), Dakota Sowins (Tyler), Carlee Riley (Tyler), Kadence Cox, Jack Cotton, Avery Cotton, Stevie Bennett, and Veronica Ortega, along with a host of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur "Dee" Cox, her father George Pruitt, and her mother Rhea Pruitt Treece.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 9, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Freedom Worship Church. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in the adjoining Meek Cemetery.

Stetson Hayes and Edward Thompson will officiate the service.
