Janie Sue Jett, age 70 of Empire died April 25, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, April 29, 2019 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in New Horizons Memorial Gardens. Pat Watson will officiate. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 Am Monday at the funeral home. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Gary Joel Jett; mother, Lillie Mae Bland; father, Russell Bland; brother, Wayne Bland; mother-in-law, Virgina Gilbert Jett; and father-in-law, Ellis Jett.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Jett Tubbs of Empire; son, Joel Chad Jett and his wife, Heaven of Bremen; brothers John Bland and his wife, Kathy and David Bland and his wife, Susie both of Empire; sisters, Annette Moore and her husband, Charles of Curry and Angie Jackson and her husband, Tim of Empire; grandchildren,  Brittany Tubbs of Empire, Brooklyn Tubbs of Empire, Noah Jett of Dora, Emmett Jett of Dora, Samuel Jett of Cullman; and a host of many nieces, nephews, and friends.
