Jane Elizabeth Moore Strain, age 84 of Mt. Olive (formerly of Dora), passed away Friday, August 6th, at UAB Highlands in Birmingham. Mrs. Strain was born on September 27, 1936 to the late Claude James and Jewel Marie Lint Moore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Strain; a brother, Richard Moore; and a sister, Billie Melvin.

She is survived by her children, Jill Lowe and her husband Michael, and Mark Strain and his wife Robbie; three grandchildren, Ryan McCullough and his wife Liz, Erin Strain Ponds and her husband Brandon, and Alex Cook; and nieces, nephews, dear friends and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Bell Funeral Home - Sumiton. Visitation will be Sunday, at the funeral home, from 2:00 until 3:00. Burial will follow in McCormack Cemetery with Greg Melvin and Donnie Sanders officiating.
