Jamie Bryant Whitaker, age 47 of Double Springs, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024. Mr. Whitaker was born September 18, 1976 to J.B. Whitaker and Shirley Whitaker Rigsby. He spent his working days as a truck driver, and when he had time, enjoyed doing some hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Kristy Norris Whitaker; a son, Jesse Whitaker and Emily Cole; his daughters, Jasmine Mobley and Luke Wright, Jennie Whitaker and Zack Miller, Jerica Whitaker and Pet Lucy; his Mother, Shirley Whitaker Rigsby; and a brother, Jason Whitaker.

He is preceded in death by his father, J.B. Whitaker; his grandparents, Jackson Bryant and Myrtie Whitaker, and James William and Cora Bell Ford; and an aunt, Martha Hubbard.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 13, at 11:00am at the Chapel of Bell Funeral Home Sumiton. Visitation will be from 10:00am until 11:00am and burial will follow at Oakhill Cemetery. Chad Beavers will be the officiating minister and serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Key, Carter Key, Ben Guess, Chris Colburn, Corey Ingles, Landon Freeman, Zack Miller, and Don Williamson.
