James Lockhart, age 92 of Jasper, Al passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at his residence. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Bell Sumiton Chapel Visitation will be one hours prior to the service at Bell Sumiton Chapel. Burial to follow at New Canaan Cemetery. Rev. Dwayne West will be officiating.

James is preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.

Survived by his wife of 28 years Louise Lockhart, daughter; Eileen Washington Maske, son; Harvey (Susie) Lockhart, brother; Jerry Wayne (Stella) Lockhart, six grandchildren; Jerry Wayne (Lori) Washington, Berry Wayne (Christy) Washington, Johnny Lynn (Sherry) Washington, Shannon Lee Lockhart-Law, Donald (Gaby) Lockhart and Christine Lean Lockhart, thirty-three great grands in Alabama, Indiana and New York State, with a host of  other friends and relatives.
