James "Jay" Edward Drummond, age 52, of Empire passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 at Ridgewood Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Pisgah Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Jeffery Wiggins will officiate. Visitation will be 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the church. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kandy Fowler Drummond; father, Glenn Drummond; grandparents, Buck and Bonnie Drummond and Raymond and Cleo Brock; and infant granddaughter, Annie James Drummond.

He is survived by his mother, Patsy Drummond; sister, Angie Green (Mack); brother, Randall Drummond; son, James Mason Drummond; daughter, Abigail Drummond; stepson, Josh East (Danielle); special aunt, Tammy Brock; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
