On Monday September 15th, 2025, Jackie Sue Wires of Dora, passed away from this life and into the arms of Jesus at UAB St. Vincent's, with her family at her bedside. She was a young 73 years old.

Jackie was the 1st born to John David Weldon and Barbara Ann Weldon (Butler) on March 5th,1952.

She is preceded in death by her parents; John D. and Barbara Ann Weldon, siblings Jenny Weldon, John Wayne Weldon, and Greg Weldon, and her son-in-law Wayne King JR.

She is survived by her husband of an amazing 50 years Fred Wires, daughter; AnnMarie Wires-King, son; Thomas Wires, granddaughters; Hillary Swindle and Caitlin House (Matt), sisters; Tammy Weldon (Charles), Julie Hallman, Charlene Weldon, and sisters-in-law Emma Tyrrell, and Helen Hallmark (Terry). She is also survived by an abundance of nieces, nephews, and many more family and friends.

She was a graduate of Bevill State Community College where she earned her associate degree in computer science. Jackie worked as a seamstress for 21 years at Arrow Shirt Factory. She held many titles and wore many hats in her 73 years on this earth. Jackie was a lover of all things floral and loved to have a garden. She loved to plant the smallest seed and watch it grow into a beautiful creation.

Jackie lived an incredible life. Her accomplishments were many and noteworthy. But her pride and joy, her reason for all things and her total dedication was to her granddaughters Hillary and Caitlin. Jackie was truly the glue that held her family together for so many years.

She was loved by so many and touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be so missed by all who knew her.

Her funeral is being handled with care and compassion by Bell Funeral Home in Sumiton, Alabama.

Burial to immediately follow at Davis Cemetery (Dora Second Missionary Baptist Church) in Dora, Alabama.

Brother Joe Craig Weldon will be officiating. Pallbearers will be John Calloway, Melvin Weldon, Keith Wright, Matt House, Shane DeFore, and Matt Young.
