Mr. Gregory G. Smothers, age 49, of Carbon Hill passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Walker Baptist Medical Center.  A time of remembrance will be from 4:00 - 6:00 Pm Sunday With a memorial service to follow at 6:00PM  Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Wayne Smothers, Sr.; brother, Mitchell Wayne Smothers, Jr.; brother-in-law, Keith Garrison; niece, Brittany McFarland; and nephew, Michael McGuff.

He is survived by his mother, Pamela Smothers of Carbon Hill, AL; sisters, Kimberly Smothers of Jasper, AL. and Kristy Freeman (John) of Jasper, AL; brother, Mike Smothers (Brittany S.) of Morrisonville, IL; daughters, Haley Smothers (Slader Cagle) of Jasper, AL, Shaelyn Smothers of Jasper, AL and Emily Smothers of Jasper, AL; son, Elijah Smothers of Carbon Hill, AL; grandson, Zayden Cagle of Jasper, AL; mother of his children, April Smothers of Jasper, AL; uncles, Philip Kilpatrick (Becky) and Eddie Smothers of Walker Co., AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
