Mr. Gary C. Defore, age 70, of Quinton passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at his residence.  There are no services scheduled at this time.  Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Preceding him in death were his father, Garvin Defore; his mother, Edna Wallace Defore; brother, Horace Defore; and sister, Julia Defore Williams.

Survivors include his daughters, Amy Dixon (Don) of Clarksdale, MS and Beth Shumate (Gray) of Parrish, AL; granddaughter, Katie Fulton (Daniel) of Oxford, MS; grandsons, Sam Shumate of Parrish, AL, Nathan Hendon of Olympia, WA, Colton Dixon of Clarksdale, MS and Hunter Dixon of Clarksdale, MS; great grandson, Theo Hendon of Olympia, WA; sisters, Judy Reeves (Roger) of Empire, AL and Sally Mayberry (Thomas) of Jasper, AL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
