Erma Jean Pate passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on the evening of October 11,2024, while surrounded by her loving family. Jean was 80 years old and lived in Dora, AL with her loving husband James Pate of 48 years and their pet Chihuahua "Jose". Jean had a great love for her family, books and movies.

Jean is survived by her daughter Donna Jean Garvin (Junior), sons Larry Pate (Tammy) and Bobby Joe Hall Jr. ; Her brother Ray Hardy (Lisa) and sister Donna Sargent (Ron); Grandchildren Whitney Howse (Trey), Lauren Pate, Courtney Pate, Zac Pate (Shelbie), Jordan Pate, Sabrina Wilson (Danny) and Vanessa James (Robby); She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Robert Hardy, her son Rodney Pate and her brother Bobby Hardy.

The family will receive loved ones and friends on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 5-7 p.m., with a service on the following day Thursday October 17, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Bell Funeral Home in Sumiton, Alabama.
