Mr. Edward Guy Nester, age 82, of Empire passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at his residence.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, February 8, 2021 at New Temple Baptist Church with burial in Shanghi Cemetery.  Pastor J.J. Creel will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service.  Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Wilson Nester; and his parents, Carrington and Elsie Nester.

He is survived by his daughters, Patty Mullins (Johnny) of Empire and Rita Bradford (Shannon) of Warrior; granddaughters, Holly Graham (Chad) of Dora, Rachel Echols (Noah) of Empire and Elizabeth Harris (Seth) of Dora; grandsons, Zach Mullins (Eryn) of Empire and Christopher Bradford of Warrior; great grandchildren, Roman Graham of Dora, Khloe Graham of Dora, Otis Echols of Empire and Zoey Harris of Dora; family friend and sitter, Laura Lindsey of Dora; and a host of other family and friends.
