Dorothy "Dot" Moore Bagwell, age 79, of Corner passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Bagwell was a member of Temple Hill Baptist church. She and her husband, Jack had one of the first "You Pick" farms in the state of Alabama, of which they were very proud. Later they owned and operated Bagwell Farms Produce Company in Birmingham. She is most known in her community as the animal lover that could always be found trying to take care of any stray animal she encountered. She often referred to herself as the "Unofficial Walker county Animal Rescue".

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jack Bagwell; parents, Jesse and Ehelene Moore; and sisters, Donna Moore Trammell and Patricia Ann Moore.

She is survived by her daughter Melissa "Misty" Bagwell-Seifert (David) of Corner; grandsons, Tyler and Taylor Seifert of Corner ; brother, Wayne Moore of Corner ; special nephew, Jason Trammell (Deidra) of Corner; great nephews, Justin and Jordan Trammell of Corner; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 19, 2022 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Corner. Pastor Jacob Elliot will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of service. Bell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
