Obituary

Destiny Roberson, age 21, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Funeral service will be held at Bell Sumiton Chapel on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to service burial to follow at Wells Celestial Gardens and Bro. Herman Osburn will be officiating.

A vibrant young woman with a heart as big as the sky she loved to camp under, she brought light, laughter, and joy to everyone who knew her.

Destiny was a free spirit with a deep love for the outdoors. Whether she was hunting, fishing, or camping — her absolute favorite — she felt most alive surrounded by nature. Her adventurous spirit was matched only by her love for her family and friends, who were the center of her world.

Known for her radiant smile and infectious energy, Destiny had a gift for lifting others up. No matter what she was going through, she made it her mission to make sure those around her were happy and cared for. She was always dancing through life — literally — twirling through the house with a silliness that made everyone laugh.

Teal was her favorite color, reflecting her calm, vibrant personality, and sunflowers, her favorite flower, seemed to mirror her sunny disposition. A natural helper, she found joy in giving of herself to others, always offering a hand, a hug, or a listening ear.

Destiny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her spirit — wild, kind, and full of joy — will live on in the memories of campfires, laughter, and sunflowers swaying in the breeze.

She is survived by her mom; Brandy Cooper (Jeff), dad; Darrell Roberson (Kelly), brothers and sisters; Brent Roberson (Amber), Cory Roberson (Brittany), Chloe Cooper, Brandon Cooper, Jordan Madison (Kaliegh), Jeremiah Madison and Brooklynn Madison as well as many extended family and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She is preceded in death by her bonus dad; Jeff Cooper, grandparents; Teresa and Robert "Buddy" Hardy, Carl and Earline Roberson, sister; Hannah Oliver with many uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers: Andrew Strader, Jesse Brooks, Tracy Brooks, Clint Vickery, Doug Honeycutt and Nathaniel Johnson.
