Mr. Darrell D. Black, age 84, of Quinton passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at his residence.  Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Bell Sumiton Chapel.  Bro. Hollis Alexander will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services.  Burial will follow on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Shanghi Cemetery.  Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his birth father, Garland Black; father who knew in life, Otis Dickson; mother, Gertrude Dickson; and infant son, Scotty Black.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Black; brother-in-law, Randy Watts; sisters-in-law, Peggy Dingler, Patsy Hicks and Dolly Spears; and of host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family will like to thank New Beacon Hospice for the excellent care they provided.  Also, they want to extend their thanks to family and friends who aided in his care.
