Mr. Gordon May, age 73, of Dora, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 15, 2020. Mr. May was a God fearing Christian man who sang in a quartet with his brothers, was a Dora High School Alumni of The Class of '67, drafted into the Army where he served proudly in the Vietnam War, retired after 30 dedicated years of service to Drummond Oil Company, was a very active and loved man in the community and with youth sports for many years as both a coach and a mentor. He was truly loved by all who knew him.

Mr. May is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Dorothy May; sister, Carolyn Vest; and two brothers, Raymond and Donnie May.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carol May; son, Rusty May (Sherrie); daughter, Carrie Taft (Dennis); son, Kevin May (Monica); brothers, Howard May (Dottie), Harry May (Sandy), Gene May (Virginia), sister; Linda Martinez (Late Husband SixToe) grandchildren, Tyler May (Catelyn), Timothy May, Emily Johnson (Chris), A.J. Justice, Haley May, Callie May, Seth Hunter, and Olivia May; 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Services for Mr. Gordon May will take place in The Bell Sumiton Chapel on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM.

Visitation will be in The Chapel from 12:00 PM until service time.

Burial will take place at Bryan Cemetery in Dora, Alabama following the services.
