Charlotte Akers Simmons, a beloved resident of Sumiton, Alabama, passed away on June 29, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on January 14, 1949, Charlotte lived a life full of love, family, and cherished memories. She is survived by her children, Dana Ellis and Nicholas Simmons; her sister, Patricia Motte; her brother, Stanley Akers; her granddaughters, Ashlyn Nikki Stanley and Whitney Stanley; and her great-grandchildren, Charles Owen Swindle, Delainee Swindle, Kaylee Ellis, and Grayson Ellis. Charlotte was preceded in death by her daughter, Tabitha Greathouse; her son, Christopher Ellis; and her siblings, Kathy Pearce, William Charles Akers, Wayne Akers, and Michael Akers.
