Mrs. Carolyn Madison Franklin, age 71, of Empire passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 at her residence.  Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Little Vine Cemetery.  Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ella Dean and Doc Madison; husband, Jessie E. Franklin Jr; brothers and sisters, John, Frances, Billy, Martin, Barbara, Roger, Randy and Paul; daughter, Suzanne Vandiver; and great granddaughter, Makenna Redmill.

She is survived by her daughters, Stacey Patterson (Rodney) and Donna Day (Ricky); son, Jessie Franklin (Lila Hunter); grandsons, Matthew Sanders, Anthony James and Bradley Franklin; granddaughter, Holly Redmill; great grandson, Jeremy Redmill; brother, Ronnie Madison; sisters Janice Hill and Teresa Vaughn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
