Betty Lou Whitlow Stinnett, age 84 of Cordova, passed away Monday, April 4,  2022 at Cordova Health and Rehab. Mrs. Stinnett was born on March 7, 1938 to the later Wheeler and Viola Salter Whitlow.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Clayton "Bud" Stinnett and an infant sister, Dorothy Sue Whitlow.

She is survived by four children, Jay and his wife Debbie, Jeff and his wife Cindy, Joe and his wife Anna, and Janet Stone and her husband Terry; her grandchildren, Christie Lawrence, Karri Duncan and her husband Jason, Jared and his wife Megan Stinnett, Jerrica and her husband Jordan Trotter, Joseph and his wife Frankie Stinnett, Joshua Stinnett, Jennah Davis, Jacob Stinnett, Jayda Stinnett, and Jeralyn Bolton and her husband Ezra; great grandchildren, Clay Phillips, Jaylee Cait Trotter, and Zoe Duncan; brothers, Bill, J.W., John, Herman, Donald, and Ronnie Whitlow; and sisters, Janette Nix and Phyllis Henderson; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April, 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Bell Funeral Home Sumiton. Burial follow in Friendship Cemetery with Joel Carden officiating. Visitation will be Friday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
