Betty Lou LeVan, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 21, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones as she embarked on her final journey.

Betty is survived by her granddaughter, Stephanie Brooke LeVan, great-granddaughters, Jordan Lexis Rosser, Kha'Layah Raeigh Softley, and Kha'Miyah Chantrese Softley.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Harold LeVan, and her sons, Timothy Harold LeVan and Steven Ray LeVan. her mother, Lorene Thursby, and stepfather, Shorty Thursby.

Betty will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the genuine care she showed to everyone she met. Her home was always open, welcoming friends and neighbors with a smile and a comforting word. She had a special way of making each person feel valued and loved.

A funeral service to honor Betty's life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 11:00 am at Bell Sumiton Chapel where Bishop Bruce LeVan will officiate. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at Wells Celestial Gardens.
