Barbara Sue Taylor, born on January 27, 1953, passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 73. Her life was cherished by those who knew her, leaving behind memories that will be held dear.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday October 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bell Funeral Home - Sumiton, located at 510 Main Street, Sumiton, Alabama. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with burial at Liberty Grove Cemetery.

Barbara is survived by her children: William Christopher Mathis, Jimmy Dewayne Mathis, Jerry Lynn Mathis, and Benjamin Mathis. She is also remembered by her sisters Carolyn Cato, Brenda James Carbonie, Beverly Cato, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Michial Mathis.
