Arthur Donald Graves, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. He was born on March 14, 1939. Arthur was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a proud family man throughout his life.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elizabeth Rosetta Graves; sons, Donald Eugene Graves (Michelle) and Kim Douglas Graves (Deanie); grandchildren, Christofer, Amanda, Aaron, Michael, Samantha, Sara Beth, and Benji; and great-grandchildren, Abigail, Nathanael, and Isaiah; sister, Elaine Graves.

He honorably served in the United States Army for 24 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class (E7). After his military career, Arthur went on to retire from Alabama Power Company, where he worked as a dedicated boiler operator.

Arthur was preceded in death by family members; Oscar & Mary Graves, Jerry Graves, Billy Graves, Marvin Graves, Frank Graves, Francis Quinn, Keith Graves, Denese Graves, and Jonathan Johnston.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Bell Sumiton Chapel, with Pastor Ronnie Crapps officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Lawler Cemetery.

Arthur will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.
