Addie G. Hicks Jr., age 81 of Sumiton died Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Cordova Health and Rehab.  Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Shanghi Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 to 12:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Shirley Patton Hicks; son, Donnie Hicks; grandson, Joseph Hicks; brothers, T.J., L.G., Girdner, and Robert Hicks; sisters, Bessie Gilliland, Lena Bush, Mary Nell Thompson, and Ruby Whatley.

Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Rigsby of Sipsey; son, Billie Ritchie of Dora; brother, Marvin Hicks of Georgia; sister, Inez Cooper of Wetumpka;, granddaughters, Jamie Hicks of Prattville, and Hope Ritchie of Sumiton, five great grandchildren, Aiden Hicks, Jason Hicks, Sage Harper, Ava Harper, Dakota Harper, and a host of nieces and nephews, including a special niece Deborah Wise.
