Mr. Thomas Lee Bookout, age 84 of Robertsdale, formerly of Dora, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at his residence.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Freewill Cemetery in West Jefferson.  Rev. A.J. Dollar will officiate.  Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. 

Mr. Bookout founded Bookout Auto Parts in Dora in 1955.  He was a veteran of World War II having served in both the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Army and was a member of Arcadia 670 Masonic Lodge in West Jefferson. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 65  years, Fay Morgan Bookout; son, Thomas Bruce Bookout of Dora; twin daughters, Brenda Simmons (Jim) of Robertsdale and Linda Bookout of Robertsdale; sister, Bobbie Nell Oglesby of Helena; nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
