Ms. Matha Lou Watson, age 69 of the Dora died Friday, June 15, 2012, at the UAB Palliative Care Unit in Birmingham. Ms. Watson will be cremated according to her wishes, and the family will have a memorial service at a later date. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Preceding her in death was her parents; John Watson and Lula Neumann, brothers; Lyn Watson and Larry Watson. Her life was one always centered of love, compassion, and the giving of herself to others unconditionally. She was a very loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her son , Greg Yarbrough and his wife Jessica of Jenks OK, grandsons; Thomas, Logan, and Chris of Jenks OK, sisters; Shirley Benton and her husband Jim of Sumiton, Glenda Howerton of Hobart IN, Patti Simmons and husband Jerry of Sumiton, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
